This exhibit is dedicated to the memory of Jann Rowe, an amazing creative being who inhabited this world for a time and blessed it with a multitude of beautiful and evocative works of her heart and hands and voice. Through a selection of her work we will share with you a sampling of the creations that poured out of her on a near daily basis – paintings and poems, songs and stories, doodles and drawings and paper cups made into art. Jann was a firm believer in the transformative power of love and the potential of art to speak to the heart. Perhaps her art will have something to say to you.
The exhibition will be held at the main floor gallery of the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) in Ithaca, NY and will run from July 8, 2025 through July 23, 2025. We will be hosting an opening night reception, with light refreshments, on Friday, July 11, from 5-8pm, including a reading of some of Jann’s poetry at 6:00pm. The CSMA address is:

A special addition to the exhibition is a sculpture created in remembrance and celebration of Jann’s art and life. It is collaborative work by:
- Jann Rowe (posthumously)
- James Allen
- Eric Hilton
- Tim Wells
The sculpture is titled “Hearts of Passion” and is a passion project by James, Eric and Tim to honor Jann’s memory and amazing imaginative vision.

This is such a beautiful thing to do. Even though I only knew her through the forum, her love of life, people and creativity was felt deeply. She had a huge part to play in my returning to my own art work.
I really miss her and am so glad to see her celebrated this way.
